Anatomy plates in colour. Physiology theory in black & white.

A medical subject set is mostly text with a few hundred pages where the stain, the colour coding or the specimen photo is the information. Print each part at its own rate instead of sending the whole file to the colour machine.

The decision that sets your bill

Which medical pages actually need colour

The test is simple: if two things on the page are told apart only by their colour, it has to print in colour. If the page would still teach you the same thing in grey, it does not.

Print in colour

Histology & pathology slides

H&E, PAS and special stains identify the tissue by hue. In greyscale an eosinophilic cytoplasm and a basophilic nucleus collapse into the same grey.

Print in colour

Anatomy plates

Arteries red, veins blue, nerves yellow — the colour coding is the whole point of the illustration.

Print in colour

Gross specimens & culture plates

Photographs of specimens, dermatology images, and microbiology culture plates where colony colour is diagnostic.

Black & white is fine

Theory, tables & question banks

Physiology chapters, pharmacology drug tables, biochemistry pathways in line art, past papers and MCQ banks.

Grayscale works

Radiographs & imaging

X-rays, CT and MRI plates are greyscale to begin with. Print them on the grayscale rate, not the colour one.

Always

Front & back for theory

Double-siding halves the paper and the weight, which matters when a subject runs past a thousand pages.

Free colour & black-and-white PDF separator

You do not have to sort the plates by hand. Upload the subject PDF, the tool finds every page carrying colour and splits the file in two while keeping the original page numbers, then you send both files back to us.

Quick check

What a subject set costs

Enter the subject's page count and roughly how many pages are plates or stained slides. The card splits it into the two print runs and picks the right band for each. This is indicative; the calculator gives a full quote with binding and courier.

Both runs are priced on their own page count, so each lands in its own quantity band. 80 GSM colour needs 500 colour pages; below that the batch goes on 100 GSM Premium, which has no minimum — the usual choice for a separated medical plate batch.

Example: 1,200 pages to be printed
All 1,200 pages in colour · 100 GSM Premium @ ₹2.50₹3,000.00
After separating the file
200 pages in colour · 100 GSM Premium @ ₹4.50₹900.00
1,000 pages black & white · 70 GSM front-back @ ₹0.50₹500.00
Your cost after separating₹1,400.00
You keep₹1,600.00

That is 53.3% off the all-colour price. Printing charge only; binding and courier are extra.

Indicative rates

Printing, binding and delivery

Printing is priced per side by quantity, binding per book and courier by weight. Final pricing depends on the file content — we open the PDF and confirm before printing.

20 pages or less₹2.00₹2.00

Grayscale diagram pages — radiographs, imaging plates and shaded line art — are ₹0.60 per side at the top band. The band is set by how many black & white pages are in the job, counted after the colour pages are taken out.

The minimum counts colour pages, not total pages. 80 GSM colour needs 500 colour pages, on white background files. A separated medical plate batch is usually well under that, so it prices on 100 GSM Premium below. Single sided on 80 GSM is ₹2.50 per sheet text only and ₹3.00 up to 20% coverage.

Why plates end up on 100 GSM Premium

Once you separate a medical file, the colour batch is rarely 500 pages — it is forty slides, or two hundred plates. 100 GSM Premium has no minimum, so that batch prints without a problem, and the heavier stock holds dense stain colour without showing through to the reverse. Theory pages stay on 70 GSM so the finished set is still light enough to carry.

Above 500 colour pages on 100 GSM Premium: one spiral binding free for every 500 pages, and standard courier free anywhere in India.

Spiral binding₹30 – ₹50 per book, by thickness
Perfect (glue) binding₹150₹100₹50
Hard case binding₹300₹275₹250

Spiral suits medical notes best because it lies flat while you read and annotate. A subject too thick for one spiral is split into volumes rather than forced. Perfect-binding covers are 300 GSM with gloss or matte lamination.

How to send your medical notes

1. Split the file

Run the subject PDF through the free separator so the plates are counted apart from the theory pages. If you would rather not, send the whole file and tell us — we will sort it here.

2. Choose paper and binding, subject by subject

Theory on 70 GSM, plates on 100 GSM Premium, spiral binding per subject. Tell us where a subject should be split into volumes, or leave it to us and we will split at a chapter break.

3. Send the files and get a confirmed quote

WhatsApp to +91 98201 69619 or email bulkprintouts@gmail.com, with a Drive or WeTransfer link for large files. We open the PDF, confirm the exact rate and share the total before anything is printed.

4. Printed, collated, bound and couriered

The colour and black-and-white sheets go back into your original page order before binding, so plate 214 sits between page 213 and 215. Packed to survive the courier and sent anywhere in India.

Questions medical students ask

What does a full MBBS subject set cost to print?

It turns on how many pages carry colour. Take a 1,200 page subject with 200 stained slides and plates. The colour batch of 200 sits in the ₹4.50 slab on 100 GSM Premium: ₹900. The remaining 1,000 theory pages on 70 GSM front-and-back are ₹0.50 per side: ₹500. That is ₹1,400 before binding and courier. Sending all 1,200 pages through the colour machine would cost ₹3,000 — more than double, for pages that gain nothing from it.

Which pages actually need colour?

Ones where colour carries the meaning: histology and pathology slides where the stain identifies the tissue, gross specimen photographs, anatomy plates that colour code arteries, veins and nerves, and microbiology culture plates. Theory chapters, pharmacology tables, question banks and line drawings read perfectly well in black & white. Radiographs, CT and MRI are already greyscale — those go on the grayscale rate, not the colour one.

How is black & white priced?

On 70 GSM, by quantity. Front-and-back it is ₹0.50 per side at 1,000 pages or more, ₹0.70 for 500–999, ₹0.80 for 100–499, ₹1.25 for 21–99 and ₹2.00 for 20 or fewer. Single side is ₹0.85 per sheet at 1,000 or more, ₹0.98 below 1,000, ₹1.50 below 100 and ₹2.00 for 20 or fewer. Grayscale diagram pages are ₹0.60 per side at the top band.

Which paper is best for anatomy and histology plates?

100 GSM Premium. It is heavier, holds dense stain colour without showing through to the reverse, and has no minimum order — so a batch of forty histology slides is perfectly fine. Keep theory pages on 70 GSM, otherwise a thousand-page subject becomes too heavy to carry to college.

Is there a minimum order for colour?

On 80 GSM, 500 colour pages — and the minimum counts colour pages, not the size of your document. A separated medical plate batch is usually well under that, which is why it goes on 100 GSM Premium, where there is no minimum at all: ₹8.00 per page for 1–10, down to ₹2.50 per side above 500.

Will the page order survive two print runs?

Yes. The separator records the original page numbers and the two stacks are collated back into sequence before binding. Plate 214 sits between page 213 and page 215, exactly as in your PDF.

Which binding suits thick medical notes?

Spiral, at ₹30–₹50 per book by thickness, because it lies flat while you read and annotate. A subject too thick for a single spiral is split into two or more volumes rather than forced into one. Perfect binding with a 300 GSM laminated cover starts at ₹50 per book on 50 or more copies — worth considering if a batch is being printed for a whole class.

Can you print for a whole batch or a college society?

Yes, and it is cheaper per head. One combined order reaches the 1,000+ black & white band and the lower binding slabs, and travels as a single courier consignment instead of thirty. Send one file set with the number of copies.

Do you deliver to medical colleges outside Mumbai?

Anywhere in India. Mumbai and Thane are ₹50 per kg; elsewhere ₹135 for the first kg and ₹60 for each additional kg. Standard courier is free on 100 GSM Premium colour orders above 500 pages. Notes are packed to survive transit.

When are you open?

Monday to Saturday, 3 PM to 10 PM. Closed on Sunday. Files sent on Sunday are taken up first thing on Monday.

Send the subject. We will handle the rest.

Share your PDF with the binding you want and where it should go. If it mixes plates with theory, run it through the free separator first — or say the word and we will sort it at our end.
